Week of March 9, 2020                

CSB This Week

Noisy Work This Week:

• Concrete drilling and adjustments to the scaffolding on the exterior of Nursing continue this week and will create intermittent noise.

CSB north exterior (Parnassus Ave.)

• Excavation for planters adjacent to CSB is scheduled to continue this week. The work will take place inside the job site.
• Brief pedestrian delays are expected as soil is loaded into trucks on the street.
• The sidewalk cover is scheduled to be removed soon. There will also be changes to the cover at the west end of the site (nearest UC Hall) as site work progresses.

CSB south exterior

• Activity this week in Saunders Court continues to be focused on excavation and pipe installation.

Connecting to Nursing and MSB

• Exterior Activity
  • The exterior scaffolding on the east and west sides of the School of Nursing building is being reattached, which will create intermittent noise.
• Interior Activity
  • Work continues at the north ends of the hallways on all floors, including ceiling framing. The work is expected to create intermittent noise.

Installation of carpet, interior glass, light fixtures in ceilings, and window shades continues throughout the building. Final interior painting is underway on multiple floors.

Installation of office furniture partitions is underway.

Glass Delivery via MSB

Delivery of interior glass is scheduled to take place using the west elevator of MSB. Delivery is not expected to be disruptive or noisy and will not hold up the elevator for extended periods of time.

Upcoming Noisy Work

• Demolition and removal of the concrete tower crane base in Magnolia Court is on hold pending engineering needed for the additional equipment needed. Demolition will start once the engineering is complete.
